NaNoWriMo Update

It's November Again!
by Mil'vardea

We gathered yesterday for the beginning of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). We discussed ideas over cheap diner food, wrote to Canada's folk music, and pondered over the secrets of the universe.

Each of our plots are kind of complex, but I will attempt to describe mine a little:

What if the Roman Empire had never fallen? How would it have kept it's power, and how could it have survived? It's a bit like a Big Brother sort of thing, where people are being controlled by this kind of government entity. I'm trying to track down a good English-to-Latin translator online, but I haven't found one quite yet.

Canada's plot is extremely complicated, but boils down to a soul has been reincarnated into two separate bodies, and there's a very powerful group of people who are looking to reclaim said soul and put it back together again.

Smoo decided to take a very old idea he had for a story, and is writing about a cute that someone invents for Alzheimer's. It helps to bring back memories lost. But the cure mutates peoples' minds, and they end up spreading their memories to others like a disease. It's almost like you could cough on someone or kiss someone and they would know your whole childhood.

I love their concepts; we're going to have some much fun with this this year! Good luck to everyone else who is Nano-ing!
